Reptile Lineage Blog

Demand for Reptile Lineage was overestimated and as such development will be significantly slower.  I will continue Reptile Lineage as a personal project, however I need to work on some things to bring in some income for the present moment.  For those of you that are interested in the site please check back every couple weeks.  Suggestions from users would go a long way toward faster development of the site.

Forums have been created for the site at http://forums.reptilelineage.com/ in order to better facilitate user feedback and troubleshooting issues.  Please feel free to post your questions, suggestions, help requests, bug reports and/or comments in the appropriate forum(s).

The CAPTCHA’s on the site have been reduced in difficulty, thanks to John for pointing this out – and I would like to apologize to anyone who experienced trouble registering as a result.

The beta version of Reptile Lineage is now live.  We will be advertising the site over the coming weeks as the base site functionality is finished.  Please check back often.

We will be at the San Jose Reptile Show today and tomorrow talking to breeders about the site – site updates will begin again Monday Aug 11th.

A glitch in a developmental piece of code for the Reptile Lineage website has lead to the loss of 6 user accounts.  We will be conducting more frequent backups to prevent this issue from occuring in the future, and apologize if you are a user that lost your registration information as a result of this glitch.  Please keep in mind the site is still in a beta stage of development, and as such errors are to be expected, though we are working to keep them to an absolute minimum.  If you are among the users to have lost your account please send me an email or post to the forum concerning it and it will be resolved as quickly as possible if there is unaffected data connected to your account that can be linked back to a new one.
